Initial consultation

An initial consultation is often the most cost-effective way to get clarity. It allows us to review the key facts, identify the legal issues, discuss immediate risks and timelines, and outline realistic options for moving the matter forward. 1-hour consultation: $339.00 flat fee ($300.00 + $39.00 HST)

If you have documents you want reviewed (for example, court materials, correspondence, or an agreement draft), you are welcome to share them in advance so we can use the consultation time efficiently.

Reduced-fee consultations

We offer reduced fees on a pre-set sliding scale for clients with limited income. Reduced fees may be available to individuals who earn $50,000.00 or less per year, based on our sliding scale and capacity.

Disbursements and other costs

In addition to legal fees, some matters involve out-of-pocket expenses known as disbursements. These can include court filing fees, process server fees, courier charges, long-distance calling, obtaining documents, and other expenses required to move a matter forward. Where disbursements are likely, we will discuss them with you so there are no surprises.
